In his novel “Üstün İnanç,” he takes the reader back to Istanbul’s ‘dersaadet’ era and leads them on a journey into the past, stating that “Realizing what one has lost is the first step to searching.” The novel presents a neutral depiction of the period, highlighting the collaboration of the Young Turks with Western powers, the Action Army, and the events of the 31st of March Incident. Treacherous organizations originating in Monastir and Thessaloniki are discussed, along with the actions of the Committee of Union and Progress against Abdülhamid.
